Armed man tries to rob bank in Model Town by firing several rounds; arrested

Delhi Police have arrested the perpetrator.

In line with experiences, the person, recognized as Raja, barged into an HDFC financial institution department in Mannequin City immediately in inebriated situation. He went to the money counter and requested the financial institution worker at hand over the money.

When the worker requested him for the chequebook, he began looking within the bag and took out the pistol from the bag. He allegedly fired 5 rounds, aiming in direction of roof of the financial institution, as a way to commit the theft.

“Police reached the spot and overpowered the armed robber and managed him. One semi-automatic pistol together with 2 magazines, 7 dwell cartridges & 5 empty cartridges recovered from his possession,” the police added.

Authorized motion is being taken on this regard.
