Google firm’s workplace in Pune was briefly placed on alert after Hyderabad-based man, who recognized himself as Panayam Shivanand, claimed to have put a bomb contained in the premises.
Whereas talking to media, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone V) Vikrant Deshmukh mentioned, “The workplace, situated on the eleventh ground of a multi-storey business constructing in Pune’s Mundhwa space, acquired a name late Sunday evening {that a} bomb was saved within the workplace premises.”
After being alerted, Pune police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad reached the spot and carried out in depth searches, he mentioned.
“The decision later turned out to be a hoax. The caller has been traced to Hyderabad and apprehended. He allegedly made the decision in an inebriated situation,” the official mentioned.
Additional investigation is on into the incident, he added.
