Companies are of the view that these foreign money notes are being put to make use of for black enterprise of hawala. Pretend foreign money notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 have been confiscated for the accused.

On January 27, a 24-year-old man was arrested by the Bengaluru metropolis police for offering counterfeit foreign money notes price Rs 4 lakh in lieu of Rs 1 lakh real notes. The person learnt print pretend notes by watching YouTube movies.
In one other incident, Karnataka police on Wednesday busted a pretend foreign money racket and arrested 4 individuals, together with YSRCP chief Rajani, native media reported. Based on police, the accused Charan Singh and Rajini had been arrested once they had been attempting to switch pretend notes of Rs 500 denomination amounting to Rs 40 lakh to brokers in Bengaluru.
